Call of Duty Black Ops 6 is on track to be one of the best-selling games of the year, and this new game is expected to be a huge improvement over previous main entries. However, as always with this series, the Zombies side mode is one of the most anticipated features for many players. Activision Blizzard has released an exciting cinematic trailer for the Zombies story mode.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 will breathe new life into Zombies mode
The trailer shows a military group we know from past games, the CIA Requiem team, fighting against the zombie threat. Once a legendary team, this team has been imprisoned. In the trailer, we see that the team is locked in a prison called Terminus and their former commander offers them freedom. However, the team must first rescue another prisoner in the prison. This person is the brother of the woman who freed them.
The trailer ends with the team receiving orders and taking action, and Activision has released a blog post to give us a better understanding of the game’s story. The post summarizes the “Dark Aether” timeline from previous games and explains the current situation:
“Black Ops 6 Zombies tells the continuation of the Dark Aether story and delves even deeper into Richtofen’s motivations and goals, while exploring the fate of key characters. Over the years, former Requiem personnel-Grigori Weaver, Mackenzie ‘Mac’ Carver, Elizabeth Grey, Oskar Strauss, and Stoney Maddox (known by his call sign Raptor One)-have been imprisoned at an outpost called Terminus, a mysterious garrison in the Philippine Sea.”
The blog post also details the current status of the members of the Requiem team and highlights how some characters have changed after past events. It’s interesting to see such a focused character storyline featured in the Call of Duty Black Ops 6 zombie story mode, but it could make the game more appealing to players. Especially since this is the next chapter in the story, players are eagerly anticipating it.
